Then and Now

This photo was taken long before I knew I wanted to be a writer. I’m the short one on the left. But my sister, Maryann (third from the left,) did know. She kept a diary then and still keeps a journal today.

Writers as Musicians

Mary Lou Williams liked to say that “Jazz is created in the mind, felt in the heart and heard through the fingertips.” Writers do much the same thing. We play our hearts out on the keyboard.
